    Red face

Joe Theisman made several interesting comments about the fans cheering Tim Couch after he had gotten a concussion.

Basically, Joe said Tim was not wrong for feeling how he felt, but he probably shouldn't have said anything. Joe basically was saying that fans are fans and not to take them too seriously on an emotional level.

I wonder how Jim Thome must "feel" seeing a potential hero such as Tim Couch being cheered by the fans of Cleveland as Couch walks off the field after an injury.

If I were Jim Thome, it would make me think that I am only loved because I play the game well, so there really is no fan loyalty of any kind to ballplayers, therefore, why not take as much money as I can get wherever I can.

Fans cheer when things go well, Fans boo when things go badly. Neither demonstrates fan loyalty (in my opinion)

I can't think of a better form of fan loyalty then to NOT cheer when your hometown players are injured.
